Training Sessions

The Social Housing Forums will determine the development and delivery of training sessions.

The training sessions will be designed for housing and tenant liaison staff from social housing organisations and the residents themselves.

Wherever possible there will be mixed training sessions with staff and tenants to develop a 'learning together' atmosphere.

The training programmes will be developed specifically for relevance to each local area, in agreement with the forum, and could incorporate the following categories:-

• Energy efficient and renewable energy technology in redevelopment and refurbishment works.

• User issues - including understanding controls, appliances, fuel bills, condensation and energy efficient behaviours.

• Delivering energy advice for housing staff and other key personnel who work with residents regularly.

• Study tours to relevant developments - to study good practice in other developments and schemes.
