Sofia Energy Centre (SEC)
Sofia Energy Centre (SEC) is an independent energy consultancy company established as a successor of European Community Energy Centre Sofia. The company has already been involved very successfully in different EU projects under PHARE, SYNERGY, SAVE, THERMIE ENERGIE and EIE Programmes. SEC works in partnership with state institutions, municipalities, regional authorities, universities, associations, NGO's, industrial companies, etc. SEC implements projects for energy efficiency and RES utilisation in different sectors and more specifically in the building sector, working with a network of highly qualified experts in the field. SEC has accumulated a wealth of experience in the promotion of energy saving in building sector and especially for municipality buildings and large residential ones. Following are some of most prominent projects and actions in the field: Improving the energy and environmental performance of buildingsSAVE LOCOSOC Project - The main aim of the project is promotion of low cost and low energy social housing for enlarged Europe. In the framework of OPET Building Cluster: · Application of Life Cycle Cost Assessment into Building Practice; · Innovative concepts and technologies for residential building refurbishment In the framework of Balkan OPET: · Market assessment and implementation of Energy efficient building materials and components in South East Europe. · Elaboration of a Promotional Guide for Practical Installation of Energy Efficient Building Materials and Elements. · Implementing Energy efficient and sustainable buildings. · Promotion of energy efficiency in tourism facilities. The Phare project "Energy efficiency in multi-dwelling buildings with individual heating" consisted of implementation of energy efficiency measures in a complex of 6 pre-fabricated panel buildings in the town of Radomir, Bulgaria.
