The Energy Agency for South East Sweden is a regional centre for information and development as well as a regional resource in the sphere of energy. The aim is to have an influence on production, distribution and use of energy for heating, transportation, lighting and motor operation. ESS work with energy education at all levels and with co-ordination and education for the local energy advisers. The Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden direct advice towards energy and environmental issues both for companies and for municipalities. The agency collaborates with the college in Kalmar, the University of Växjö and the University of Linköping by supporting and taking part in research and development in the energy field.
